How to submit a picture or video
Step 1 - Login or Sign up for an account
In order to upload your photos or video you must login in or create an account. Click on the Login or Register link located in the right hand menu then fill out the form to login or register.
Step 2 - Upload your photo or video
Once you have logged in, fill out the form on the Upload your news page to upload your photo or video. You may upload one video or up to five photos at once. Please follow the image and video requirements outlined below.
Image Requirements:
Maximum file size: 100MB
File Type: jpg, gif
Video requirements:
Maximum file size: 100MB
File type: avi, mov, wmv, mp4
When uploading, please select the closest city or region where video/photo was taken from the drop-down menu. Then if possible, use the interactive map to pin-point the exact location where your image or video was taken.
Step 3 - Terms and Conditions
Read the Terms and Conditions located below the upload form and check the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Click submit and you are done!
How to submit from a mobile device
If you are on the scene of breaking news and can capture it with your mobile phone, then send your pictures or video directly to us at mynews@ctv.ca
Your pictures or video may be selected for use on CTV.ca or other CTV websites, in CTV television or radio programming,
or other CTV programming services. If you submit a picture or video, you do so in accordance with the MyNews Terms and Conditions.
How to submit using a webcam
If your computer is equipped with a webcam, you can use it to record and submit a video to MyNews. Once logged in, simply click here to record your video.
