Truck Fire on Sources Blvd.

MyNews user Gordon McLeish shot this video of a tractor trailer fire and explosion in Pointe Claire, Que. The driver was okay after the fire, but shocked by what happen. He was able to swerve and avoid danger to other drivers. Read story.

Fort St. John Fire

At 7:15 a large fire destroyed Rosenau Transport and United Valve buildings on the Alaska Highway. The Highway has been closed and residents are being evacuated due to poisonous smoke along with explosions. Read story.

An explosion near a mall at St. Mary's Road and Dakota Street Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 in St. Vital, a neighbourhood in Winnipeg. The ensuing fire sent up thick plumes of smoke and created a black cloud that could be seen for kilometres. Read article
