Hot air balloon crash

Sign of the times? RE/MAX real estate offices around the globe in commemorated the 30th anniversary of the renowned RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon in October. They sent up balloons in Edmonton, Calgary, the Fraser Valley (of Vancouver), Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Regina and Grande Prairie. Edmonton MyNews user Kayla Mckarney snapped this photo of the balloon making an unscheduled landing in her neighbourhood.

Semiahmoo, B.C. bomb threat

MyNews user Daniel Fowler submitted this video. Near the end of lunch a bomb threat caused the evacuation of Semiahmoo Secondary School. Area was locked down and classes cancelled for the day. Semiahmoo is approximately 50 km northwest of Vancouver.

Marijuana Party offers seeds of a new debate...

Jodie Emery, Editor, Cannabis Culture Magazine and a Marijuana Party activist, wants to know if any political leaders will help.... "Would you be willing to cease the extradition proceedings against Canadians Marc Emery, Michelle Rainey and Greg Williams of Vancouver, B.C. to the United States?" The three B.C. residents are charged in the U.S. with selling seeds over the Internet.
