Darren Goodridge took this photo after a crowd surged forward and barricades collapsed at free concert by Alexisonfire at Vancouver's David Lam Park. The concert came to an abrupt halt and 10 people were taken to local hospitals with non-critical injuries, officials told CTV News. Tamil protest in Toronto

A busy Toronto thoroughfare remains closed to traffic for a second day because of a loud, but peaceful, protest by Tamils and their supporters. The sound of drums and chanting continued through the night and police say the protest on University Ave. may continue through the rush hour.
