Fire at Despatie Maple Sugar Bush

The flames started when the open fire under the cauldron used to heat the maple syrup for taffy spread to the nearby brush. No one was injured and emergency crews were on the scene within 15 minutes of the start of the blaze in Hanmer, near Sudbury, Ont. on Sunday, March 21, 2010.
