Tiffany Ferguson from Abbotsford thinks tenant/Landlord laws need to be reviewed and changed. She believes that the only way for our economy to grow is to work together both Landlords and Tenants.
She states: "There is nothing about the current laws that represents EQUALITY, INTEGRITY OR COLLABORATION (As Canada represents).
The Landlord/Tenant Laws give all rights to TENANTS! Landlords have no ground-and nothing to protect their homes, assets or hard work!
I want these laws CHANGED. I want them to be EQUAL! With equality we all can happily live in co-existence. We need to make sure we are also protecting the people that sustain our economy (homeowners/buyers/working citizens). The current landlord/tenant laws are in no way helping to protect landlords.
As a landlord, in today’s economy, I stand to lose everything I WORK HARD for: my future, my home, and my security. Because we follow the current laws, which allow tenants to take advantage of social assistance programs and landlords.
I feel our Parliament is letting us down as citizens by ruling with these unequal laws. "
MyNews user Bruce Poon submitted this photo of a crash that tied up traffic in Toronto for about 10 hours: "A look at the scene of accident minutes. It caused massive traffic congestion the next morning."
MyNews user Erik Gannon took this photo of a raging fire at Rain Bar and Grill restaurant on South Fraser Way in Abbotsford, B.C. "Thunder ripped through my house, setting off (a) car alarm," said Gannon. "I looked out my window and the blaze was several stories high."
